Laneige x Matin Kim’s little lip-tint chain is the part that makes the collaboration click for me. The JuicePop Box Lip Tint Mono Tune set, with its case, keyring and metal chain, gives a beauty product a place among the charms on a bag. It feels like a fitting addition to Korea’s bag-charm trend.
Once the accessory has caught your eye, choosing a glossy or blur tint finish is the next makeup question.
Matin Kim is a Seoul-based Korean fashion label making clothing, bags and accessories. It describes its approach as trend-conscious, comfortable fashion for everyday life.
Why the chain fits Korea’s bag-charm trend
In Korea, decorating a bag with charms and keyrings is known as baekku, short for bag decorating. The appeal is personalisation: the bag stays the same, while the little things clipped to it make it feel yours.
Korean fashion retailer Musinsa’s 2025 trend report highlighted bags decorated with plush keyrings. KakaoStyle’s March 2026 preview, from the company behind Korean fashion shopping app Zigzag, described bag and phone decoration as continuing popular forms of customisation.
Matin Kim already has a neat example of its own: the Half Shirring Ribbon Charm. The brand describes it as a miniature keyring version of its signature Half Shirring bag, with room for small items. A little bag hanging from a bigger bag is exactly the sort of playful detail that makes this pairing feel natural to me.
I read the tint chain as Laneige’s way into that bag-personalisation trend, with a partner whose accessories already fit the idea. Matin Kim brings its sense of what looks good clipped onto a bag; Laneige brings a lip product to join the mix. The charm happens to contain your next lip touch-up.

What is new in the Laneige x Matin Kim collection?
The tint is one part of a wider collection. Amorepacific’s Korean announcement, dated 1 September 2026, introduces cosmetics alongside three merchandise items: a convertible duffle bag, pouch and dedicated tint chain.
| Part of the collaboration | What the official material describes | The kind of change |
|---|---|---|
| Familiar beauty lines | Laneige’s US collection includes Water Bank, Cream Skin and Neo Blurring Powder, presented in Matin Kim styling. | A different visual identity for established product families. |
| JuicePop Box Lip Tint Mono Tune | A limited 4.5g shade. Laneige describes a sheer black, pH-reactive tint developing towards pink or plum. | A specific colour release within the lip-tint range. |
| Bags, pouch and chain | Fashion merchandise announced alongside the cosmetics; the Hong Kong tint set includes a case, keyring and metal chain strap. | Accessories for carrying and styling the products. |
The Korean announcement sets out a staggered launch: international releases were to begin in September, with Korea’s Olive Young launch following in October.
An invitation to both brands’ fans
The Hong Kong campaign extends the pairing into the shops. It invites customers to bring a Matin Kim item to a Laneige store and register as a member for privileges. In the other direction, a collaboration receipt from Laneige or Sephora can be presented at selected Matin Kim stores for privileges.
That is a nice detail for existing fans: something they already own becomes part of the invitation to another brand’s shop. I see it as an attempt to connect the fashion and beauty audiences, though the offers alone do not tell us how many new customers took part.
For me, this is a good collaboration because Matin Kim contributes an accessory idea that fits how people personalise their bags. The tint is its clearest expression. Matin Kim’s accessory sense gives Laneige’s tint a place in the look, even before it reaches your lips.
