Who is responsible for this website
Seoul in Europe is an independent publication operated from Czechia. The site operator determines how personal information is processed through this website. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to info@seoulineurope.com.
Information processed when you visit
The hosting and security systems may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, date and time, and security events. This information is used to deliver the site, maintain security, diagnose errors and prevent abuse.
Seoul in Europe does not currently offer public user accounts, a newsletter signup or a contact form. New article comments are disabled. If these features are introduced, this policy will be updated before they are used.
When you email us
If you contact info@seoulineurope.com, we receive your email address, any name you provide, the content of your message and any attachments. We use this information to read and respond to your enquiry and keep track of necessary follow-up. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information that is not needed for your question. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 through Google Site Kit to understand how visitors find and use the website. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to process information such as page views, interactions, device and browser information, approximate location and online identifiers. Complianz provides the consent banner and manages visitor preferences. Where consent is required, analytics storage is controlled according to the choice made in the banner. Google AdSense code is also installed in connection with our advertising application. When it loads, Google may receive technical information such as the page address and IP address. Related cookie use and processing depend on the service and consent settings. See our Cookie Policy and Google’s partner-site information. Newsletter tracking is not currently used. Strictly necessary cookies may still be used for administration, security and essential website functions.
External links, affiliate links and embedded content
Articles may link to retailers, brands and other websites. When you follow an external link, the destination site may process information under its own privacy and cookie policies. Some links may be affiliate links and may include an identifier that allows a retailer or affiliate network to attribute a referral or purchase. See the Affiliate Disclosure for more about these links.
Embedded content can allow the provider of that content to receive technical information about your visit. We avoid adding optional embeds unless they serve a clear editorial purpose and will update this policy when a new provider materially changes data processing.
Why information is processed
- To make the website available and protect it from misuse.
- To identify and repair technical problems and understand aggregate site usage.
- To meet legal obligations and establish or defend legal claims where necessary.
Depending on the context, processing may be necessary for the operator’s legitimate interests in operating a secure publication and responding to enquiries, for compliance with a legal obligation, or based on consent where consent is required.
Service providers and international processing
The website is hosted through Hostinger and uses WordPress software and related site services. These providers may process technical information to supply hosting, security, caching and website functions. Google Analytics 4 is provided through Google Site Kit to measure site usage, and Complianz is used to manage cookie consent preferences. Google and its service providers may process analytics information outside Czechia subject to their applicable safeguards and privacy terms. Our contact mailbox is provided through Hostinger. Email service providers process messages and delivery information to provide the mailbox. Google AdSense is also used in connection with our advertising application. Google may process information outside Czechia under its applicable privacy terms and safeguards. See the Cookie Policy for details of the installed code. We will list any additional providers here before introducing new advertising, newsletter tools or embedded services that materially change data processing.
Retention
Technical logs are kept only for as long as needed for security, troubleshooting, hosting operations and legal requirements, subject to the relevant provider settings. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention settings configured for the Analytics property. Consent preferences are retained for the period needed to remember and demonstrate the visitor’s choice. Email enquiries are retained for the time needed to respond and resolve the matter, including necessary follow-up. Where a message is needed for a legal obligation or legal claim, it may be retained for that purpose for longer.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or to object to processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection or another competent supervisory authority.
More information is available from the European Commission and the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection.
Changes to this policy
This policy will be reviewed when the site changes its analytics or consent configuration, or adds advertising, newsletter tools, contact features, embedded services or other material data processing. The date at the top will show the latest material update.
